Curia is a fast-growing legaltech start-up on a mission to transform how property law professionals get things done. We build smart tools that help conveyancers and solicitors save time, reduce risk, and deliver better advice to their clients.
We're a growing, passionate team of software engineers and legal industry insiders (with a dash of nerdy love for automation) working together to make legal work faster and simpler. Our flagship product is already shaking up the way contracts of sale are reviewed in NSW—and we're only just getting started.
What you'll do
We're looking for a driven and genuine Business Development Manager to help us bring Curia to more conveyancers and law firms across NSW (and soon, Victoria). This is a ground-floor opportunity for someone who wants to shape the role, build the sales engine, and truly make their mark.
You'll:
- Identify, connect with, and onboard new clients (initially in NSW, expanding to VIC).
- Build a sales pipeline from scratch with creative outreach and smart targeting.
- Conduct product demos and help potential clients understand how Curia fits into their workflow.
- Travel regularly to client sites and industry trade shows to build relationships and showcase our platform.
- Become a trusted partner to our users - answering questions, listening closely, and sharing feedback with our team.
- Work closely with the founder and development team to refine messaging, improve processes, and shape go-to-market strategies.
You'll be working from home with lots of autonomy and flexibility - but also hitting the road to meet with clients, so you'll need a car and a valid driver's licence.
What you'll bring
- Proven experience in a sales or BD role (bonus points if it's in legaltech, SaaS, or professional services).
- An understanding of (or background in) property law: ideally someone who's reviewed contracts and can speak the language of conveyancers and lawyers.
- Confidence with CRMs (we use Zoho, but any experience is helpful).
- Tech-savvy mindset: you love learning new systems and can explain them clearly to others.
- Initiative, energy, and EQ: you're a people person who reads the room, adapts quickly, and builds trust fast.
- A builder's mindset: you're excited about joining a start-up and helping shape the future.
